Using Small Tubing from foot to foot to develop pelvic stability, balance and coordination

Here are a group of our athletes performing STRAIGHT LEG KICK-UPS with small tubing on their feet.

For coordination development, they are following a movement pattern of 3 steps then a kick- up, .....3 steps then a kick -up..............and so on.

Note the balance the athletes must have by controlling the straight leg that is stabilizing them as they kick the other leg up and lengthen the tubing.

Note the athlete's pelvic alignment as they try to not break at the waist and stay strong with their vertical spinal alignment as they resist the tubing and kick up.

NOW WATCH THIS VIDEO OF THE SAME ATHLETES ADDING A MORE DIFFICULT EXERCISE AFTER THEY MASTER THE STRAIGHT LEG KICK-UPS

This next video is CONTINUOUS LEG SWINGS WITH ONE-LEGGED  HOPS w small tubing on the feet.

Note- the same attention to pelvic stability and vertical alignment of the spine as the athletes stay strong with their stabilized leg on each hop.
Note- also the attention to the coordinating of opposite arm swings to counterbalance each swing
