Rolls with Splits

Athletes travel forward by rolling from their back to their chest in a straight leg lateral split position.


Athletes travel backwards by reversing the coordination of the previous exercise



NOW ADD:

Athletes travel forward by performing lateral split kicks out of the water then rolling to chest.


Athletes travel backward reversing the coordination of the previous exercise.


Focus for all 4 exercises is on:

-hips up when on surface
-legs straight throughout split
-lead the roll with head and chest
